Meet Mitoo: The Platform for Team Sports

Mitoo is the platform for team sports. At Mitoo, the team says they care about team sports. The team members have not only played in them, but coached and managed them.

Andrew Crump“We take away all the nonsense that sports parents and players have to go through by providing solutions to leagues and giving players what they need, in their hand, when they need it,” said Andrew Crump, CEO of Mitoo. “Anyone who has played amateur team sports will tell you organization needs to be improved and team communication should be mobile – we’re trying to do just that. Everything we do at Mitoo is mobile, fast and super easy to use. No complicated software, no training required, no fuss.”

The Mitoo journey started under the name Bluefields in London, where they completed Seedcamp in Europe.

“Then, we came out to the United State to do 500 Startups and next settled in Las Vegas. We have played an active part in Downtown Las Vegas since January 2013,” Andrew Crump said. “Mitoo went through some changes recently. We recently acquired an older league tool and changed our name from Bluefields to Mitoo.”

“In the acquisition,” he continued, “we added a couple of members to our team in London – we’re now a team of 8 with most of us working from our office in the Juhl in Downtown Las Vegas. We’ve had the privilege of seeing tech hubs in London and Silicon Valley and we can say that Vegas is doing it just right – we think it is the best place to be if you’re a seed-stage startup.”

The Mitoo team says their door is also open to other members of the #VegasTech.

“You’ll always find us at the Community Dinners,” Andrew Crump says. “Just listen out for the thick British accents!”

Alongside the VegasTechFund, the Mitoo team is funded by a number of venture capitalists such as White Star Capital, Ballpark Ventures, 500 Startups and a number of high-profile angels like Andy McLoughlin, co-founder of Huddle.

“Right now, we’re hiring in a number of positions,” Andrew Crump said. “We’re always looking for good people, but in particular right now a talented back-end developer who loves APIs and a Sales Lead to take our league growth to the next level. You can apply through our AngelList or shoot us an email at [email protected]

What’s next for the team?

“We just want to keep growing as quickly as we can,” he said. “We had 1.6 million users last year with around 275k monthly actives. Our primarily focus is expanding in the US and getting our league platform in the hands as many league admins and players as possible. This time next year, we would like to have opened an office in San Francisco as well and expanded the team.”
