Ciara Byrne

Graduating with a degree in business in Dublin and earning a Master’s degree at the Technische Universitätet in Berlin, Ciara moved to New York City in 2001 where she set up and ran a satellite production company for a large UK media firm, Lion Television. By the end of the first year Ciara had three successful television series in production: History Detectives for PBS (now in its tenth season); Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? for E! (aired for 6 seasons) and Miami Animal Cops for Animal Planet. By 2005 Ciara was running Lion’s production office in Manhattan with 60 employees and opened an additional office in LA with 15 employees. Ciara executive produced many of the series while she and her development team created over 80 hours of television a year for PBS, BBC, The Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, National Geographic, Fox, and E! Many of these series are still on the air including Cash Cab, which airs every night on The Discovery Channel.
